Interculturele Communicatie

Training

When conducting trainings and facilitating group processes change and development are key elements. Of the participants active participation is expected to establish a connection between theory and practice.

I conduct trainings in the area of people management and leadership. The topics used are e.g.: coaching skills, leadership styles, conflict handling & negotiation (Harvard Method), teambuilding.

Also I conduct trainings with the objective to further develop communication skills. Herewith I focus e.g. on giving & receiving feedback, verbal and non-verbal communication, intercultural communication. I use methods like Non-Violent communication (Rosenberg) and Socratic Dialogue.

To work effectively together in an international context it is important to develop competences like intercultural communication, intercultural sensitivity, managing uncertainty and building commitment. By using the IRC (Intercultural Readiness Check@) it becomes visible, which competences needs more attention. With this assessment coaching and/or training sessions can be offered to improve the impact of developing these intercultural competences further.

Next to that I facilitate trainings on medical anthropology and the perception of health and illness. Due to my experience and knowledge in the humanitarian field I conduct also trainings in this sector, like; humanitarian (emergency) assistance & coordination, project management, security management and on developing humanitarian leadership skills.

These trainings I give to civil society organizations, agencies and institutions.
